The coastal path leads our eye towards Emsworth Marina, with a mass of vertical masts. The iconic black and white Emsworth Deck houses can be seen in the distance. The sky is painted loosely and raw; the artists used a wide flat brush and scrapings of pallet knife work too. This is a view close to the artist's home, as her seaside cottage and studio sits on the shore here.
