A study of one of the ponds in our Royal Parks called ‘the leg of mutton’, painted onto a 76x76cm chunky canvas. Reeds and long grasses cling to the perimeter of the pond, cutting into the soft surface of the pond. Nadia has achieved this with pallet knife strokes and a fine brush. A large atmospheric British sky blows overhead, reflecting its colours down into the surface water. Most prominent however is the deer, striding through the waters to cool down!

Framed in a white-wash wood tray frame, taking overal size to 81x81cm.
