Viewed from above the resort at the end of a day’s skiing. This was purposefully not my usual painting style. I wanted to use thick markings of paintbrush - less pallet knife work, to contrast the shaded snow with the bright white snow. I wanted to play with all the different tones of snow - pink, blue, green! It was an interesting and laborious exercise and I like it, especially as the view was personal to me… shortly after this photo was taken, we descended to the carnage of the infamous bar!
